Censorship: This is How it Begins

Spain’s government is drafting a law that bans the photographing and filming of members of the police. The Interior Ministry assures they are not cracking down on freedom of expression, but protecting the lives of law enforcement officers.  …

The new Citizen Safety Law will prohibit “the capture, reproduction and editing of images, sounds or information of members of the security or armed forces in the line of duty,” said the director general of the police, Ignacio Cosido. He added that this new bill seeks to “find a balance between the protection of citizens’ rights and those of security forces.”

The dissemination of images and videos over social networks like Facebook will also be punishable under the legislation.

“Oh it could never happen here.”  That’s what the Spanish used to think.  Now look at them.

Note the language of the law. It’s the Citizen Safety Law.  Bullshit!  It has nothing to do with the safety of citizens.  It about making sure that people do not record the unlawful acts of their own government.

In case you don’t know, Spain is going through a tough time right now because for years and years they spend more money than the had.  They go too far into debt and now they have to pay the bills.  The austerity measures are not very popular.  So people have been taking to the streets.  The government don’t like that.

Keep this in mind as we start having to pay down our own debt.  Something is going to have to give… People are going to take to the streets.  There may very well be some violent confrontations between people and police.  Those confrontations need to be public.  Not limited to what the government, a/k/a The Ministry of Truth, tells us what happened.

It can happen there… it can happen here.  Prepare yourself.

Chick-fil-A Wavies 1st Amendment Rights

Chick-fil-A has pledged to stop giving money to anti-gay groups and to back off political and social debates after an executive’s comments this summer landed the fast-food chain smack in the middle of the gay marriage debate.

The Civil Rights Agenda, which dubs itself the largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender advocacy group in Illinois, said Chick-fil-A agreed in meetings to stop donating to groups such as Focus on the Family and the National Organization for Marriage. Such groups oppose same-sex marriage.

WT…?!  Why?

Everyone please note how the Left does not wish to openly discuss issues of public disagreement — No National Discourse will be held.

Opposing opinions will be silenced by any means necessary.

I fully support Chick-fil-A giving money to any political cause it likes.  I don’t have to eat there.

I fully support Progressive Ins. giving money to any leftest cause it likes.  I have have to buy Ins. from them.

Warren Buffet = Geico.  Don’t have to buy their ins. either.

Sheldon Adelson runs the Sands Casino group and gives a lot of money to Romney.  You don’t have to gamble at a Sands owned hotel.

I could go on.

But badgering people over and over and over and over and over and over until the have to submit to political correctness does not server the public good.  The solution for bad speech is not no speech but MORE speech.

If you disagree with me, fine.  Be polite, state your case.

I disagree strongly with what you say,
but I will defend to the death your right to say it.

This Civil Rights Agenda stands for anything but.  It’s evil.

Student Denied Entry to Michelle Obama’s Speech

A conservative student was denied entry into a rally featuring First Lady Michelle Obama at the University of Florida on Wednesday because he was wearing a t-shirt in support of Republican John McCain’s (R-Ariz.) 2007 campaign for the White House.  …

A conservative student was denied entry into a rally featuring Michelle Obama at the University of Florida because he was wearing a McCain t-shirt.

“I was waiting in line wearing a ‘Gators for McCain’ shirt when a guy [representing the Obama campaign] comes up to me to just intimidate me,” Pesek told Campus Reform. “[He then] asks me for my ticket saying… this is an event with only Obama supporters.”

Hummm…

I guess Michelle was not too confident in her message being persuasive.  When you can’t change minds, just lock the door.

Obama Campaign Shuts Down Website

Hagmann, CEO of Hagmann Investigative Services, Inc., a private investigative agency serving a roster of Fortune 500 clients, was given 48 hours by GoDaddy to find a new home for his website before it was deleted.

Hagmann was told the reason for the shut down was because the website featured “morally objectionable” material. After GoDaddy refused to identify the complainant, only saying that it was not “any official government agency,” further investigation by Hagmann revealed that the order came from a group tied to Obama campaign headquarters.

Speaking with the chief investigator in the GoDaddy Abuse division, Hagmann discovered, “Ultimately it was found that the complaint originated ostensibly with a group associated with the campaign to re-elect Barack Hussein Obama.”

Turning to his contacts within government, Hagmann then spoke with another source who confirmed that the ‘Obama Truth Team’ was responsible for the shut down order.

“I’m laying this right on the doorstep of the Obama Truth Team,” said Hagmann.

Obviously disturbing.
