  • Iraqi Refugee Bombs AZ Social Security Office

On Friday morning, an Iraqi refugee used an improvised explosive device IED to bomb a Social Security office in Casa Grande AZ — the mainstream media remains silent.

    Interesting.

  • Pregnant Hurricane Sandy Victim and 2-year-old Daughter Homeless

A pregnant Hurricane Sandy victim was booted from her hotel room yesterday and forced to hunt for a place to stay because FEMA dropped the ball on her reservation.

Keri Christian, 27, was living at Brooklyn’s Nu Hotel with her daughter, Serafina, 2, after the storm destroyed their Staten Island home.

Now the eight-months-pregnant mom is couch surfing at an acquaintance’s home in Bay Ridge until she finds a new place.

Her husband, Anthony Marotto, 41, has been in Staten Island, trying to raise their charred and flooded home from the ashes.

“I feel like a homeless person . . . like a street rat,” said Christian, who’s expecting a boy in January. “It’s aggravating and physically demanding. I’m really pissed.”

Insanity.  If this was the Bush administration this would be national news every day.  Every day.

  • 2/3 of Millionaires Avoid 50% Tax Rate

Two-thirds of millionaires left Britain to avoid 50p tax rate

Almost two-thirds of the country’s million-pound earners disappeared from Britain after the introduction of the 50p top rate of tax, figures have disclosed.

    via Telegraph.

Shhhhh…  This is a secret.  No one tell the U.S. media.  They think the “rich” will just stay and give Obama all their money.

  • US Guns Sales Booming

Mel Bernstein, owner of Dragonman Arms in Colorado Springs, told KOAA-TV that sales of semi-automatic weapons had boomed in recent days.

He said: “We’re going from normally six to eight guns a day, to 25. I stocked up, I got a stockpile of these AK-47s, we’re selling these like hot cakes. Luckily I had an idea of what was going on because it happened with Clinton.”

Mr Bernstein said he normally orders up to 7,000 rounds a week from distributors but could now only get hold of 3,000 because of demand.

John Kielbasa, owner of Fernwood Firearms in Hankins, New York, told CNN: “Sales are up. I had a guy waiting here first thing in the morning (the day after the election.) He came in, bought two AK-47s. It’s going to be good for me for business.”

    via Telegraph.

Again from the U.K.  No U.S. paper wants to touch this right now.  They wrote all about it before the election when it would drive gun-control folks to the polls.  Now, it’s the other side of the sword; Obama is the greatest gun salesman of all time.

Even if Obama manages to slip something by the Congress the damage is done.  12.7 million background checks in 2008 alone.  The number’s only gone up… every year since.  Obama in office is responsible for 5 – 6 million new guns sales since 2008.  Crazy.

Where’s Chris Matthews on this story?  Where the rest of the media on this story?

  • NYT: Tax Increases Coming (Two Months Late)

Americans’ taxes will rise in a few weeks. Though the direction is clear, the exact amount is yet to be determined.

More than a dozen tax cuts are set to expire Dec. 31 and a couple of new taxes are scheduled to start with the new year. Combined, they would affect nearly 90 percent of taxpayers, from the very richest to the very poorest, with the typical household’s tax bill rising by about $2,000 in 2013, according to the nonpartisan Tax Policy Center.

    via NYTimes.com.

I had this story on Sept. 21.  I called it 100 Days until Taxmageddon.

Funny how the NYT saved this story until AFTER the election.

  • Intellectual Flight from China

Like hundreds of thousands of Chinese who leave each year, she was driven by an overriding sense that she could do better outside China. Despite China’s tremendous economic successes in recent years, she was lured by Australia’s healthier environment, robust social services and the freedom to start a family in a country that guarantees religious freedoms.

“It’s very stressful in China — sometimes I was working 128 hours a week for my auditing company,” Ms. Chen said in her Beijing apartment a few hours before leaving. “And it will be easier raising my children as Christians abroad. It is more free in Australia.”

    via NYTimes.com.

No story in the NYT about the intellectual flight from the U.S.

Funny how that works.  Guess that’s not news worthy.

Over at the Chicago Sun-Times there is a very cool map of all the shootings and other mayhem in the city of Chicago.

    Go see for yourself.

  • An Intimate Photo Essay of Ann Romney

She said: ‘When I was first diagnosed with MS and my husband was taking care of me, he discovered rotisserie chicken.

‘Rotisserie chicken is every cooks best friend,’ she said. ‘You want to buy it at the end of your shopping so it doesn’t heat up the food that’s in the rest of your basket.’

    via Daily Mail Online.

    Again, the UK press.

Why is no American journalist carrying this story or anything similar?

    Consider:

When Ann wore a stunning red Oscar de la Renta to the RNC, there was not a peep from his PR team, while we received several notices about Michelle’s DNC wardrobe from Tracey Reese and Laura Smalls respectively. When Romney wore a printed Diane von Furstenberg wrap dress, DVF’s PR team not only ignored it, but effectively distanced themselves from her saying they were “not quite sure how she obtained the dress.

The U.S. media is actively ignoring Ann Romney.

Someone try to tell me there is no media bias.

  • Obama a Real Contributor to Subprime Loan Failures

President Barack Obama was a pioneering contributor to the national subprime real estate bubble, and roughly half of the 186 African-American clients in his landmark 1995 mortgage discrimination lawsuit against Citibank have since gone bankrupt or received foreclosure notices.

As few as 19 of those 186 clients still own homes with clean credit ratings, following a decade in which Obama and other progressives pushed banks to provide mortgages to poor African Americans.

    via The Daily Caller.

Kudos to The Daily Caller for putting together this incredibly well researched piece about Obama being one of the lawyers who sued Citibank to make sub-prime loans.

That this story is being written in 2012 and not 2008, and by a small independent website and not by any of the major media outlets is a complete indictment of our entire media system.

I can remember when I stopped watching The Daily Show.  It was shortly before the 2008 election and Michelle Obama was the guest.  After she comes out, the first question John Stewart asks is something like, “Tell us something we don’t know about you?” and the crowed goes wild.  It was an sardonic arrow aimed at those who were screaming to anyone who would listen, ‘What do we really know about these people?’

The truth Mr. Stewart, is we knew very little about these people.  We still know very little about these people.  It’s a same that the media didn’t do its job 4 years ago and any time since.  So because you ignored your responsibilities for the last 4 years someone has now produced some facts showing how:

    • Obama sued Citibank forcing it to make bad, sub-prime loans;
    • Many of those loans failed, including nearly half of those plaintiffs in the Obama case;
    • The sub-prime loan failures led to the collapse of the entire mortgage system causing the greatest economic crisis since the great depression.

Mr. Obama help create the problem he inherited.

That is what the press should be reporting.
